Synopsis "Distant Thunder"

It is the year 1860. Gracie Smith lives the life of ease on her huge Alabama plantation home. On the outside, she is living a perfect life of ease. The belle of every ball. The daughter of a wealthy, powerful plantation owner. Her choice of young men to court. However, appearances deceive. Inside, Gracie is a twisted, bitter person. And church is the last place she wants to go for answers. She is running out of time as the distant thunder of civil war looms on the horizon. What will it take to make her change her mind about needing a Savior, before it's too late? Suddenly, when life whirls into a horrible accident and a runaway slave mysteriously appears, she is given a second chance at a better life.
